At Heights Green School, early childhood education is the ultimate investment in our future.

Our focus is to develop the whole child, not just academic readiness but overall health, nutrition and a sense of social concern and environmental awareness generally lacking in today’s traditional schools. 

Dramatic and imaginative play, explorative outdoor time and practical life lessons are just as important as teacher-led lessons in general subjects. 

Montessori Method
Between birth and age five, the human brain develops at a faster rate than at any other time in a person’s life. For this reason, we see the early years as an opportunity to bring the intrigue of nature, the curiosity for adventure and the enthusiasm for creativity to each child’s heart. Our daily curriculum includes Spanish and American Sign Language.  The Montessori method is utilized to support each child’s personal interests and foster an atmosphere for spontaneous and inevitable learning. Our certified Montessori teachers bring their love for learning to life with hands-on experiences. Every activity holds the opportunity for growth as the classroom environment supports it.

Parent Communication is Key
Heights Green School hosts training seminars for first-time parents and those interested in learning more about child development, nutrition and education. Our in-class and playground webcams, as well as our detailed online accounts updated by your child's director daily, gives our parents ease of mind throughout their busy day away and the chance to monitor their child's progress. 

Nutrition
Caring for our environment is not only a necessity, but beneficial for our children. Only the safest materials will be used at Heights Green School. Sourcing locally sustainable and organic foods is just one step we take to ensure your child is getting the best quality nutrition available. Getting active is another way. Not only does ample outside time give your child the opportunity to explore and create a world of their own, but they will have the chance to develop large-muscle skills, such as cross-lateral movement, which proves to be a critical part of a child's reading and writing success. Not to mention, your child will be able to focus more easily after their bodies are calm.
